Mary Elizabeth (Cage) Garrett, 75, Sandusky, died Friday, December 30, 2011, in
University Hospital, Cleveland.
She was born to Booker T and Zeal Cage on October 3, 1936 in Ittabena, MS., and
moved to Sandusky at the age of 26.
She was employed by Cedar Point and later retired from Vandresser Corporation in
Norwalk after 25 years.
Mary attended St. Rest Missionary Baptist Church where she was introduced to
Christ at an early age. She was a
woman of prayer, and full of wisdom. Mary loved her God, her pastor, her church,
spending time with her family, eating, and watching reality TV.
Here to celebrate her life are her children, Calvin Earl (Yvette) Cage Sr,
Sheila Denise (Eric) Jordan, Dorothy Jean (Larry) Miller, Bobbie Lee (Sherry)
Garrett Jr., Donnia Merrie (Kenny) Pearson, and Amy Garrett; twenty
grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; five step-children; sisters, Annie Dell
Loggins and Annie Mae Cage; brother, Willie James (Katie) Cage; special cousin,
Katie Keahey; and a host of nieces and nephews, whom she loved dearly.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bobbie Lee Garrett Sr, whom she was
married 18 years; daughter, Chenetta Elvon Cage; great-grandson, Amir Miller;
parents; sister, Willie Mae Cage; brother, Booker T. Cage Jr.; and cousin,
Elnora Garrett.
Friends may call on Thursday, January 5, 2012, from 10 A.M. until time of
funeral services at 12 P.M. (Noon) in the Agape Love Ministries, 4013 Columbus
Ave., Sandusky. Bishop Clifton T.
Jones Sr. will officiate. Entombment will be in Meadow Green Memorial Park,
