
Paul A. Bashore

Paul A. Bashore, 81, Sandusky, died on Wednesday, December 7, 2011 in Stein
Hospice Care Center, Sandusky, Ohio.
He was born on September 28, 1930 in Kansas, Ohio to Helen Elizabeth (Lanning)
Bashore and Richard Newton Bashore, Sr.
Paul was an Air Force veteran assigned to air and sea, serving for four years in
the Korean War with the 58th Air Rescue Squadron, and was awarded the
Air Medal for bravery.
His love for flying continued after the war. Paul flew for many companies,
organizations, and friends. He built both model and actual planes, worked as an
aircraft mechanic, and served as a flight instructor. Paul was also known for
playing guitar.
Paul is survived by his wife, June (Sarns) Bashore; brother, Ed Bashore;
step-son, Jeff Perry, Louisiana; and step-daughters, Sandra Perry, Northwood,
OH, and Mary Vargo, Luckey, OH.
He was preceded in death by his parents; twin brother, Richard Bashore, Jr.; and
sisters, Mary Bashore and JoAnn Hauser.
There will be no visitation. Private services will be held. Burial will be in
Kansas Cemetery, Kansas, Ohio. Toft
