Jeff Goudy, Jr., 66, of Sandusky, entered Heaven’s Gates on August 2, 2017 in Firelands Regional Medical Center, after a lengthy illness.

He was born on August 22, 1950 in Hattiesburg, MS to the late Jeff, Sr. and Catherine Goudy. He attended both L.J. Rowan and Sandusky High Schools, and later pursued higher education.

He served in the U.S. Army, and worshiped church at Porter’s Memorial CME Church. He enjoyed fishing, playing cards, trash talk, and hanging out with friends. He worked at Vulcan Material, Norfolk and Southern, and other various jobs before his health forced his early retirement.

Jeff is survived by his wife of 43 years, Rosa (John) Goudy; sons, Jeff Goudy, III, of MS, Kevin Goudy, of Sandusky, and DeAngelo Rollison, of Perrysburg, OH; daughters, Narteacha Goudy, of MS, LaKendra Blackman and Kochista Blackman, both of Lima, OH, Detra Mathews and Jennifer Goudy, both of Sandusky, and Perris Brown, of Detroit, MI; brother, George (Barbara) Goudy, of Herzogenaurach, Germany; sister, Catherine Terrell, of Norwalk, OH, niece, Demetria (Ronnie) Pool; aunt, Cynthia Mae Gowdy, of Sandusky; uncle, Norris (Lottie) Clark, of Hattiesburg, MS; 16 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandparents; uncle, Ernest Clark; a grandson in infancy; and nephew, Johnny Lee Donald, Jr.

Friends may call from 10 a.m. on Thursday, August 10 until time of funeral services at 12 p.m. in Porter’s Memorial CME Church, 1722 Third St., Sandusky. Pastor Vaughn Newsom will officiate. Interment will follow in Oakland Cemetery, Sandusky, where military honors will be presented.
