He was born in Sandusky on June 19, 1929 and lived his entire life in Sandusky, attended Sandusky Schools, and was a communicant of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, where he often did volunteer work for the parish. He was employed at Hummel Wine Cellars, producing champagne; at Cellulose, manufacturing filters; and at the Grill Meats unit of the Oscar Meyer division of Kraft Foods, batching meats and was proud to receive perfect attendance awards yearly throughout his employment. He avidly followed the local Panthers, Blue Streaks, and Buckeye sports teams, as well as the Cleveland Indians, Browns, and Cavaliers. He enjoyed spending time with his family and doing projects around the house.

Jack is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Julianna Viola (Leidorf); three sons, Thomas Richard (Linda), of Danbury, CT, Timothy Gregory (Kathleen), of Toledo, and Patrick John (Elizabeth), of Boynton Beach, FL; three grandchildren, Alexander MacGregor, Shannon (Drew) Hastings, and Kiri-Lin MacGregor; brother-in-law, John Kinn; as well as many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold Charles and Mary Veronica (Subcasky) MacGregor; a brother, Robert C. (Fayma) MacGregor; and a sister, Jean M. (Howard) Hamilton.

The family would like to thank the staff of Providence Care for their many years of caring dedication and kindness.
